US Marshals Nab Trenton Gunman Who Killed Innocent Bystander: Authorities

A 34-year-old fugitive from Trenton has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in connection with a shooting that left an innocent bystander dead, authorities said.

Rasheed Funderburg had been fighting with a younger male on the 330 block of Rutherford Avenue on Friday, April 14, when the younger male fled, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri.

Funderburg fired shots into an alleyway where the younger male had ran, but instead struck Daniel Garvin, 46, in the chest, Onofri said. Garvin was transported to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Funderburg was taken into custody on Wednesday, April 26, and charged with murder and firearms offenses,
